The telecommunications industry in the Andean region has showed marked growth in recent years. Privatization processes and the liberalization of basic services have contributed to such growth.
The Andean countries have positioned themselves strategically to foster trade relations in the region. In May 1999, the Andean countries agreed to liberalize all telecommunications services through Decision 462 and this has driven the growth of such services.
IBC Latin America has the pleasure to announce the new edition of MobileCom Andean, which is going to be held on 28 - 29 July 2008 in Ciudad de Panama, Panama. The event will offer two days of presentations and networking opportunities and is designed to foster and promote the development of Andean telecommunications markets. An exhibition showcasing the latest trends in services will be part of the event.
Over two days, regulatory agencies, service providers and solution providers will be invited to share their experiences and outlook regarding success strategies in the delivery of mobile services and applications that will change the telecommunications marketplace.
